Dakota Mayi Johnson -- the daughter of actors Don Johnson, 58, and Melanie Griffith, 50 -- has recently been spending her time dabbling in the modeling world. Although the 18-year-old just signed with the famous model agency IMG, she has already completed what she considered her "first real job" with none other than Vogue . Says Dakota,It was pretty surreal, the fact that I was doing Vogue. It didn't really sink in until afterward.With a seemingly bright future ahead of her as a model, her focus is ultimately turning to something more familiar to her: acting. Gracing the cover of the newest issue of Aspen Peak, Dakota reveals that she is in search of what she's passionate about, and according to her, she thinks she may have found it.Everyone has that thing that sparks some sort of emotion in them. oh my gosh - i love this! mattel is releasing a hitchcock barbie based on alfred hitchcock's classic 1963 thriller the birds starring tippi hedren who is still alive and doing fine today at age 78 (she happens to be mom of actress melanie griffith) ms. hedren has been running a wild animal preserve here in california for a number of years now called shambhala catering mainly to large cats born in captivity - many of the animals are orphans or cast-offs from circuses, zoos and private owners who could no longer care for them - i'd really like to go up there someday and take a safari tour which is offered only a few times a year! the makers of this collectible doll did an excellent job at capturing ms. hedren's classic look while still maintaining the whole 'barbie' vibe (it'll be available in stores in october) i hope there's more of these 'hitchcock' inspired figures - this is way better than that new S&M barbie! popbytes over & out for tonight...xxoo PS there is a remake in the works for the birds which i say is total blasphemy but the rumor is naomi watts could be slipping into ms. hedren's role which i'd have to say is a great casting choice but they'll never be able to top the original - i say leave well enough alone! Baby names! The how and why! Jessica Alba named her newborn daughter "Honor" because she wanted the kid to be as stank in personality as she is. No, it had something to do with virtues. Or something. I don't know. I don't love it, but the father's name is "Cash" so whattaya want? "My guess is that Jessica Alba, going through life as one of several trendily-named 'Jessicas' in any room, was looking for a name that was both classic and unusual, and she made an excellent choice," says some baby name expert that Usmagazine.com got ahold of. And I thought my job was fluffy. "Honor is one of the Puritan Virtue names that has been making a comeback along with sisters Hope, Faith and Charity," Pamela Redmond Satran, coauthor of baby-naming guides Cool Names and The Baby Name Bible . I thought she named the kid Honor because she said it was an honor to have Cash's baby? Tori Spelling picked "Stella" which is one of the cooler names in Hollywood, or so this bitch says. As long as people aren't named "Jennifer", "Ashley" or "Tiffany". No offense to readers but I was tired of those ones even as a child. EVERYONE was named "Jenn". EVERYONE. "Stella has been one of the hottest star baby names for over a decade now," Satran says. Melanie Griffith, Dave Matthews and Elisabeth Shue all have daughters named Stella, which means "star." Oh, Tori's totally reaching. If I ever had a kid (if like say, hell froze over and I suddenly developed ovaries), I always wanted to name him "Finn." Then some good friends of mine named their son that. So now my baby name is "Milo." What's yours? Why in hell am I choosing baby names. I'm queer, and can barely take care of myself. As many loyal Defamer readers must know by now, our favorite blind items tend to include three elements: closeted actors, drug-addicted actresses, and those rare but joyous items that include the quote "Do you want to fuck my wife?" And kudos to the NY Daily News for providing us with the gruesomely enjoyable trifecta all in one sordid little piece today: "Which cocaine-loving actress is said to be relying on her closeted husband to meet guys? A source says that when they were at a party recently, the hubby asked a fellow guest, 'Do you want to bleep my wife? Because you can.'" Sounds like a cinch, abounding with potential suspects, right? Not so fast. After our handy thinking caps proved to be malfunctioning this morning (or, possibly, the mindgrapes under said cap?), we took a few guesses after the jump, but today calls for the help of you commenters who, as always, are typically far more savvy at this sort of thing than us: Anyone else who sadly remembers Mango the flamboyant monkey, or Corky Romano the flamboyant mob kid or, really, Chris Kattan the flamboyant Chris Kattan, was surely as shocked as we were to hear someone like model/actress Sunshine Tutt had agreed to marry the quirky little guy. Is she a cokehead, though? Well, were we forced to utter "Sunshine Tutt" whenever introducing ourselves to someone, we might need something to bolster a bit of confidence too. Back in October 2004, Tatum O'Neal was a sobriety success story, having written a successful memoir after apparently conquering a drug addiction so intense that it made Stevie Nicks's habit look pithy. But as the NY Post reports, O'Neal was arrested by the NYPD last night while allegedly buying crack and cocaine just blocks away from her luxury apartment in Manhattan's Lower East Side. When she was busted, the actress supposedly claimed she was pulling a Mendes and researching a bit for an upcoming junkie role. Apparently, her research was tres Method — she was even carrying a crack pipe on her (but it was "clean!", she said). Even more embarrassing? She reached for the age-old and very dusty "Don't you know who I am?" in an attempt to get the cops to look the other way. But the cops didn't bite, and O'Neal, along with her dealer, were taken to the clink. After the jump, we scoured her memoir of recovery to figure out why she may have gone back to the "glamorous" world of drugs.Could it be that she missed the orgies? When she spoke to Dateline four years ago, she described her junkie lifestyle as "glamorous": We checked into the Plaza Athenee with Marlon Brando and Maria Schneider...One night we all smoked opium and hash. I sank into bed, dizzy from the drugs. When I raised my head, a very confusing scene was taking place...Melanie [Griffith], Maria...and a hairdresser were tangled up together. As an added sordid touch, one of the women was apparently menstruating — something I was to young to have experienced myself — and there was a lot of blood. Along with bloody orgies, it seems part of the "glamour" nose candy can add to your life includes vomiting and shrinking down to a toothpick!
